A decision best left between mother/father and the physician. It's an emotionally charged issue for sure, but a personal one.

If anyone is falling for the vote for life bullcrap, take a look at the thread about Obama's grandmother passing away and read the filth that some of the McCain supporters are posting there.

Sorry but it is not pro-life or christian when you gloat and take pleasure in the pain of a family who just lost their matriarch.

Is this pro-life, valuing life stuff just rhetoric? Because from what I am reading they really don't mean it.

You're comparing someone 86 years old to someone who hasn't taken their first breath and never will? Get real, and come back with a better argument.

You're comparing someone who spent 86 years living and effecting the lives of dozens of people to some cells?

That's absolutely right.

An 86 year old who lived a full life, had a family who loved her and will miss her dearly.

As opposed to an embryo or fetus that does not enjoy love and may not be born into a situation that will allow it to thrive as a child.

Yes, I place much more value on a life that is already here.

Well...what a brilliant statement! (duh!) Presidents have NO power to affect abortions, other than to appoint Supreme Court judges who might one day affect the abortion issue. Did you think, when he got in office, that he was going to wave his hand in the air and say "ok....no more abortions while I'm in office!"

If Obama wins, he is very likely to appoint at least 2 Supreme Court judges, and maybe 3. Of course, they will most likely reflect his liberal idealogy of supporting abortion...

McCain lost the few independent women voters he had left when he did the air quotes about "health" of the mother as an exception to a ban on abortion at the debate. He truly has no clue.

In addition to signing into law the Freedom of Choice Act which Obama promised would be his first act as President, which Act will allow even 13 year old children to get abortions without their parents' knowledge, will cause abortions to be paid for by tax dollars, will remove all current restrictions of abortion, and more. You can read about the act on the NOW website.
