This is a very conflicted time for anyone in this position. I hope he can grieve once this is all over. I know how much she helped shape him into the person he is today.

My heart goes out to him and his family at this difficult time. So sad.
I thought she would hold on til he became our next President. She will be with him in spirit, I am sure of it.

I see that you are ignorant of the history of it all and Powell's eventually leaving of Bush admin, but that is understandable, given the ignorance of the right.
