This is beyond sad! I am just so disguisted at the Republicans questioning his motives for visiting her as if he is such a horrible human being using the trip to his advantage!

THIS IS JUST SAD She will be with us all in spirit tomorrow...

VERY sad news today
Indeed, I was praying for her to live to see the day her grandson became POTUS.

could we please leave politics out of this and focus that Senator Obama has lost a dear family member?
Prayers to Barack and his family.

Very sad. The Obama family is in my thoughts and prayers.

And to the "conservative" on here making disparaging remarks about this.

I'll pray for you too. You're gonna need all you can get.

Folks, when those members post things to merely inflame a sensitive topic, do not respond, just report it and move on.

My personal condolences to the Obama family for their loss.

I'm glad that Obama made the right call to visit his dying grandmother. It must give him peace to have spent time with her at the end.

Sad news on the eve of Obama's most important day! Ironic that Barack Obama will have mixed emotions of sadness & excitement. Pray for Obama!

Sad indeed.
That's a cruel thing to even suggest. I'm a voting for McCain and would never think that. Death is not something to toy with or joke about. You, seriously, should slap yourself for thinking of something so negative at a time like this. People like YOU need to not make this more of an "event" or "stunt" and keep it at what it is, a loss of a family member and someone that was cared about.

Though I don't really hold death as a sad event, I hope Obama is doing well at this time because I am sure it is having an impact on him.
