My thoughts and prayers are with Obama and his family during this time of great loss.

For the sake of common deceny, I would hope that all Americans (regardless of who you are suporting for POTUS) will show the true spirit of America and extend a sense of kindness and civility.

It's rotten that we didn't get to know her better as Obama took office. She seemed like a terrific person. And she raised one hell of a grandkid.

Actually, he's right here in Virginia. I wasn't going to go, because I've seen him before... but I feel like being there. Not to be inspired this time--this time I want to be there just.... to give back, to be supportive. Like being with someone in my family when a family member has died.

I freaking HATE the DrudgeReport.com.

Their headline is Obama SAYS his grandmother died today.

Sad indeed.
They'll probably be rumors that the body in the casket is a wax copy and the name on the tombstone is mispelled just like Elvis

If anything she was an excuse to go do that.

What a terribly sad day for Obama and his family. Hopefully tomorrow will help ease a little the pain of losing his beloved grandmother.

Let's see:

if Obama doesn't fly to Hawaii overnight, how many Republicans will say he's a cold-hearted, ruthless, ambitious, etc man?

if he does, how many will say he goes because he want to profit from his grandma's death?

I chose you to agree with since we often disagree when I could have agreed with those I normally agree with. I did that for a reason for all who say using this for political gain is wrong are right regardless of political affiliation. Any Bot who uses this to score points should be ashamed and I feel qualified to talk for what Bot civility is and should be. I will sear Bots on this topic as much as I have ever gone after those I normally disagree with.
If there are no politics in the death of his grandmother then this thread should not be in the 2008 Presidential Election Forum.
