Take the issue up with a moderator and they will remove the comments and speak with the person who did it. The mod's do not accept negative hit & run rep comments so believe me, they will address the issue.
I think all of the decent McCain supporters have deserted their posts. This is like that scene in Apocalypse Now at the bridge where no one is in charge.
I think even they want to distance themselves from. They might be willing to share a candidate with but I doubt if they would even want to wait in line behind.
However , if he is elected and gets the news that someone close to him has died , he will have to suck it up and press on regardless.

That's the first post you've ever written that I actually admire. It is tough when you lose someone you love and you have to get out there in the public eye anyway. Been there myself. Thanks for being one of the few repubs on these threads who can actually put some caring in the picture.
What I don't get is why would someone rep you if they hated your comment? They're only benefiting you by doing that...strange.
I've gotten a few hateful reps also. The people doing it aren't smart enough to realize they're increasing your rep points; they're just doing it as a way of trying to make a comment.
He has an illegal alien aunt living in public housing and a brother in Kenya living on a dollar a day. So taking care of his family isn't a priority.
That must be why he took time off from his campaign in its final month to go see her in Hawaii.

He has my sympathy. He obviously cared deeply for her. It's a shame she didn't live long enough to see his victory speech.
