I just talked with my oldest daughter and she summed it up pretty well. She and I were both crying with joy and she said; "Mom, we will wake up to a whole new world tomorrow."

Now that it's tomorrow, how did the "whole new world tomorrow" thing turn out for you?

Still crying?

Well first of all, what Hope might you be talking about, and the bad change all the way around, not very good.

World is more unstable now then ever before. Wonder why.

Yeah you right, republicans were a bunch of idiots for putting old man McCain and the ditz Palin up against Obama and Biden.

obama and biden far out "ditz" Governor Palin. You people f'ed up and are too stiff-necked to admit the absolutely horrible mistake you made. That's OK, we're here to remind you of it over and over and over.

Yeah it's an old thread but it's good to take a look back and remember the level of unbridled joy that people felt when Obama was elected.

Regardless of how people vote in the future, I really do hope that we have all learned not to make our politicians (especially the president) into idols. It's not a whole new world and the oceans didn't cease to rise and the planet did not heal.

The president works for us, is elected to represent us, we pay him a salary to represent us. That's all there is. At least, that's all there SHOULD be. I didn't understand the crying back then, but I sure hope that we have learned something from this experience.

Still crying with joy, or crying with sorrow now?
