Alright this is it. You got me kicking screaming, fighting, living in denial. BUT, while I may not drink the "kool aid" I'm going to get behind this guy you all call Obama! I'll do my best. But let it be known, I'm not expecting much, but I will support my elected President.

However, if he goes socialist, tries to change the constitution, pass bills called the "fairness doctrine" and so on, we might be back to square one!

I sincerely hope he possess the skills to bring this country together. I don't know if he can do it or not, as we are VERY divided, but we all should at least give him a chance.

And I still say if Obama can pull off even 5% of what he has promised, it will be a miracle. He promised everyone, everything to win this deal, lets see how much of it he can deliver.

I agree with you but if you're expecting these people to take off the gloves--even tho' they've won--you might as well expect Obama to walk on water. I've tried to extend my hand to congratulate them on this victory but victory isn't enough for them. They want blood and hate and won't be happy with less.

Fair enough.

I, too, do not know if he has the skills to bring us together. But a sincere commitment from us to work with him to do so will increase our chances of its happening.

And it won't happen if we want it not to.

The country will be divided as it has been for decades now.I look for more class warfare than in the past. Peolple aren't going to just rollover just as the democrats didn't;that is reality.

His professor from Harvard had very impressive things to say about him. Everyone that has come in contact with him confirms that he is brilliant and I quote..."has laser like focus." He is known to always choose people that are perfect for the job, as is easily proven by the precision of his campaign. Now, imagine that all of the stupid "propaganda" fears that people have about him are untrue (which they are) and his intentions are to bring this nation back to one of dignity. How wonderful to have a seriously smart, organized, non self-serving POTUS. BTW...what is wrong with The Fairness Doctrine?"

Very true. I signed on here tonight with the full intent of extending my congratulations. That changed fast when I saw the crap that was being posted from the "winning side" even! Good God, they're even hate-filled when they win!!!!! It's a mercy they didn't lose!

No way could I join up with people like this. One asshat even told me to leave my state so he and his minions could turn the state "blue." This is insanity. And God help Obama if he disappoints them -- they could turn all of this angst and anger on him!

Aside from being nearly imposssible to enforce in this day, it's a gross violation of freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Just like McCain/Feingold is a violation of freedom of speech. Neither has any place in a country that espouses itself the land of the free, home of the brave.
