Just remember, all you birthers, Jindal's parents were not US ciitzens when he was born, and he's using an assumed name that's not the same as the one on his birth certificate! (Sarcsm inteneded)
A lot and I mean a lot of people in this country, even in deep blue New York don't understand those differences. For instance in New York people all the time think Sikhs are Muslims. To many people in this country a person of that general "look," is Arab or a Muslim. It will be an obstacle for him.
It doesn't help that there's a leader of Al Qaeda named Abu Jindal either.
Yes, I am campaigning starting today! Let the 2012 election campaign commence!
Jindal is going to have to explain, in the Presidential Debates, why he blatantly lied about being in New Orleans, personally helping shortly after the Katrina disaster... He was nowhere near NO...
Should be pretty easy for him to be sliced-and-diced on this major blunder...
The GOP's argument with Obama was that he had associations with domestic terrorists, a racist religious leader, and ties to a corrupt organization. Jindal has no such background. He was born in the USA, his parents are immigrants. And I would rather have someone who worships deeply, than someone who listens to "G******" America" for twenty years.
Apparently you missed all the threads that claimed Obama is not a "natural born citizen", is a Muslim (for all that it matters - not!), used a "false" name (Barry, which the birthers couldn't get through their thick skulls was a nickname for Barack), etc. One of the arguments against O's "natural-born citizenship" was that his father (just one parent, mind you) was born outside the US. The birthers, most of whom are Repubs, are going to have some s'plainin' to do re: why all of that is now irrelevant.
