"We are very pleased to hear that President-elect Obama has decided to adopt a puppy from an animal shelter," said Jon Cicirelli, deputy director of the San Jose Animal Care Center. "Our residents can follow his lead and ask themselves if they, too, can make a difference in the life of a homeless animal. We say, 'Yes, you can!' "

Well that's the third major decision that Obama has made that bodes well for this administration, the first being Joe Biden and the second being the selection of Rahm Emanuel.

Any pound that has women with a pedigree like Michelle Obama, Princeton undergraduate, Harvard Law, is far better than the speed dating ***** factory that you found your significant other.

Wow. These boys in this thread sure are shallow! It is usually people who are insecure w/ their OWN looks who resort to bashing other peoples' looks.

Back t the OT... I saw the dog house Ellen gave Michelle for the new First Puppy...a replica of the White House!!!

I wonder what she'll do with the dog once they're out of the White House. I know up to now, she didn't want her husband or kids having a dog. They've been asking for a long time. I hope she's not just 'allowing' it b'c they're in the WH. What a lame excuse to get a pet.

I hope they adopt a Schnauzer! I love those little guys and my family has a few of them. No shedding and very chill dogs.
