Dear Employees,
As the CFO of this business that employees 140 people, I have resigned
myself to the fact that Barrack Obama will be our next President, and that
our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way.
To compensate for these increases, I figure that the Clients will have to
see an increase in our fees to them of about 8% but since we cannot increase our fees right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off six of our employees instead. This has really been eating at me for a while, as we believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who will have to go.
So, this is what I did. I strolled thru our parking lot and found 8 Obama
bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this
problem. These folks wanted change; I gave it to them.
If you have a better idea, let me know.
Sincerely,
Your boss

Where's the original? I couldn't find this letter here. I'd like to know what others would do.

They must have deleted the thread because the letter was proven to be nothing more than something going around the Internet. The number of employees change, but otherwise it's verbatim.

I posted this earlier? I own three franchise businesses and employee 22 workers. About 12 are Obama supporters. Should it become needed to reduce my employees due to tax increases, laws passages hampering my business model or otherwise due to Obama's actions, you better believe those who voted for him would get laid-off first! And there is not laws preventing me from doing so. And no, I won't have a problem letting them know why they were the first to go.

Stock market is down 1000 points these past two days, it is the first time in American history it did not rise after an election. That should tell you something right there! All market experts agreed, it would likely drop 1500-2000 if Obama was elected and RISE 2000-2500 in McCain were elected.

You don't own a business. You post here way too often, I don't believe you for a second. I worked for myself for years, and 12-16 hours days were not uncommon. I had no time to start stupid threads all day on the interwebtubes.

The DOW is dropping because we're in one of the worst economic downturns since the great depression. You should understand this, being the highly intelligent business man that you are.
