Presidents have no effect on gas prices unless they apply windfall profits taxes like Carter did. Markets control gas prices. Less demand = lower prices. The economy has slowed and it being reflected in ALL commodity prices.
However, Obama has stated publicly that he has no problem with high gas prices as it will spur aternative fuels. Meanwhile, people can't put gas intot heir cars to get to work. Real spart there pal.
