Obama made himself look incredibly catty and tacky with the insult he made against an elderly woman right out of the hospital. What on earth was his purpose? Does he really believe attacking any former First Lady, in a short 19 minute but his first post-election speech makes him look good? It was stupid and adolescent.
If Obama made the joke then it's him who should apologize. He does not have a good sense of humor publically as does McCain, but making fun of people is no substitute.
It takes a type of intelligence to have the humor and wit of a Sarah Palin, Obama doesn't have it.
He thought he was being funny and he realized it came off wrong. I respect him for his apoligies. He's human....most of us have said things we later regret. As President, though, he must choose his words carefully.

How many more times does this guy has to apologize...his remarks where so low.
We are already get used to him denouncing almost every friend he has....now he has to apologize for remark 1, 2 ,3....when do people understand that he is an empty suit with a beautiful speech.
Just have him as an example for the best speech giver ever, without saying anything good.
No matter what this man does he will be incessantly picked apart.
