I encourage everyone to read it. The article is relatively short, but it is long on insight. Why such a thoroughly unremarkable, demagogic troll is still on the national stage after being crushed in the general election should be a cause of great concern for all Americans.

That's a good article, but I dispute the need for concern. Palin's future in politics will be very limited, I think. Can anyone name a defeated VP candidate who went on to bigger and better things? Besides, she's been exposed as almost wholly insubstantial and if she goes to the head of the GOP she'll send her party straight into the ditch.

John Edwards was the Democrat VP nominee in 2004. He tried to go on to bigger and better things. His attempt at the presidential campaign this year didn't get very far but there was a time when he was considered a serious contender. IMO, the same will happen to Palin--she won't get all that far but she'll be a contender for awhile.

Edwards did himself in. He had an affair. Torpedoed his political career and as far as I'm concerned, he got what he deserved.

Thanks, that was a good article.
I doubt she has a future with the GOP; they'll leave her under the bus where they threw her. She may gain some third party support, but most likely not.
Personally I'm finding her boring and annoying these days and haven't watched any of her interviews except something that was on down at the Moose Lodge the other night where she was trying to cook something or some such thing.

I think the same thing will happen to Palin. I don't think she'll have an affair, but she'll do something equally dumb to torpedo her own career. My big question is: how far will she get before that happens?
