It is entirely understandable that you would think that, as he is a Republican.
Todd Palin is not a Republican. He's registered as an Independent.

I don't know that he's dangerous; he doesn't seem to be smart enough to be so. But I've thought at times that he might be the more ambitious of the two and that he at one time wanted a political career for himself. And yes, he's overstepped his boundaries as the spouse of an elected official.

The story itself was not proven to be a hoax. As it stands, there is still an anonymous McCain advisor who leaked the story to the press, that Palin didn't know Africa is a continent. That gaffe was not proven in any way, shape or form to be false. The source is still out there, remaining anonymous. The guy who claimed to be the mcCain advisor who leaked the story, turned out not be a McCain advisor. His identity was false...not the fact that Palin didn't kow that Africa's a continent.

MSNBC Retracts False Palin Story; Others Duped - FOXNews.com Elections

Say I called up MSNBC and claimed to be the McCain advisor who leaked the story, and MSNBC reported such. Then, say it was later discovered that I was not the anonymous source, and MSNBC had to retract the story they reported about me being the source. It would make the identity of the source a hoax, but it would not invalidate the Palin-Africa geographical gaffe at all.

Who's the smart one now, genius boy? Learn to read and comprehend, then you can join in the intelligent adult discussion.

Here's something that might help: Reading Comprehension Connection: Start a Sample Lesson!
So you believe that some loser leftist freak can manufacture lies and claim to be a McCain advisor, but it is only a lie about being a McCain advisor and everything else he says is true? Well, nobody has ever accused you leftist freaks of being overly burdened with intelligence. ROFLMAO!

Naturally, the liberal freaks NEED to believe in the lies they manufacture because reality is too difficult for them to deal with. You can't handle a smart, articulate woman with differing views, so you NEED to spew your venom in order to demean her and that somehow diminishes her point of view. It is truly pathetic watching you liberals manufacture lies, repeat them over and over, then believe your own fabrications. Only a truly weak-minded individual could do something that stupid. Undoubtedly the true base of the Democrat Party.

What the H are you talking about? Wow, you're having more difficulty with reading and comprehension than I thought. You clearly don't understand the whole "hoax" situation that occurred.

FACT: Someone from the McCain campaign told the press that Sarah Palin didn't know that Africa is a continent and not a country.

FACT: Sarah Palin never said this was false...she simply said her words were "misinterpreted."

FACT: Some random guy pulled a prank and claimed to be the source who leaked the story to the press.

FACT: FOX News and then MSNBC reported the identity of the source.

FACT: The source was discovered to have been a hoax.

FACT: MSNBC retracted its reporting of the IDENTITY of the source.

FACT: The Palin-Africa blunder still stands. No one has debunked it.

FACT: The ACTUAL McCain advisor who leaked the story still remains anonymous, and the story is, as of right now, TRUE.

Learn to read and comprehend what you're reading. It might help if you take a little time away from insulting Democrats, to understand a little bit about what's going on around you. Your ignorance speaks volumes.

How would someone not associated with the McCain camp been able to make up the Africa story, which Palin essentially confirmed took place during debate prep? She knew exactly the situation being referenced:
"'I think if there are allegations based on questions or comments that I made in debate prep about Nafta or about the continent versus the country when we talk about Africa there, then those were taken out of context...."
BBC NEWS | Americas | US Elections 2008 | Palin hits back at 'jerk' critics (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/us_elections_2008/7717309.stm - broken link)

Her argument is that the comments were taken out of context, not that the comments weren't made. Non-denial denial.

Now, I think I hear your mommy calling you upstairs for dinner. Run along and let the grown-ups talk. And please practice your reading before bed.

Agreed. I listened carefully and the one thing she never did was deny that it wasn't the truth. She rambled on and on and on and on . . . in her trademark ignorance, hoping no one would realize that she had no clue what the hell she was talking about. Never once did she state that what was said about her not knowing that Africa was NOT a country wasn't true. Rep points coming your way!

FACT: The people in the room with Palin prepping her flatly deny anything of the sort was said.

FACT: The hoaxster "leaked" these lies to MSNBC and Foxnews. The hoaxster is well-known for doing such things.

Exactly. It didn't happen.

Still more liberal lies. Sarah has repeatedly denied the leftist lie about Africa. Most recently in her interview with Gretta Van Susteren.

Quote:
On other issues discussed in the Van Susteren interview, Palin again refuted the suggestion that she did not know which countries participate in the North American Free Trade Agreement and that Africa is a continent. Palin loaded her answers with details, perhaps trying to show there's no way she could have made the alleged flops reported by Fox's Carl Cameron.

Source: Political Radar: Palin Regrets Not Doing More Interviews; Again Denies Africa, NAFTA Confusion
The only people demonstrating their ignorance here are those liberal freaks posting lies. There is obviously a pathological need for liberal freaks to lie repeatedly, and then lie about their lies. It is truly amazing to behold.

The conversation took place.

A bit of the conversation leaked, truthful or not.

The hoaxer has nothing to do with it except for taking credit for the leak.

Palin denies the conversation went the way it has been reported.

It's a denial, not fact.

And what you claim isn't proof, either, especially when people who were there say it didn't happen.
