I just picked up Obama's Audacity of Hope at the library the other day,and am on chapter 3. Has anyone else read this one,or his other Dreams From My Father ? I'm finding this one surprisingly entertaining,as I figured it would be boring politics, bla bla bla. He does write really well, and it's a good read so far.
I am hoping for intelligent discussion from people who have actually READ the book, rather than the usual off-topic bash fest. I thought maybe I should put this in the book section, but wasn't sure.

I would have thought that Obamas kind of books were one on how to fly planes, crash an economy and stir up race riots!

When have you ever had an original thought in your entire miserable life?

That one went from first interaction to ignore list in like 3 posts, for me. I highly recommend it.

Anyway, I read The Audacity of Hope (which I greatly enjoyed) and will be reading the other when my mom finishes it and sends it to me.

Was Paine a politician? I don't recall that he ever ran for any office.
