How did he stab them in the back? Id say he was up front with his stance.

Could you be any more inappropriate?

I love Joe and all he has done for the country and the party.

Yeah, I agree. There was NOTHING to be gained by removing him (and much to be lost). This is the nature of politics. You battle like H*ll against the opponent but when all is over you make up and agree to work together. In this case Lieberman backed his best friend - someone he knew and trusted over someone he didn't know that well. Nothing wrong with that.

Ken

There's something wrong with Lieberman speaking at the GOP convention, suggesting that Obama is in league with terrorists, claiming that electing Obama would endanger our troops, and saying Obama hasn't always put the country first.

I see absolutely nothing to be lost by putting Lieberman in his place..this decision throws the left wing of the party under the bus and makes the Democrats look weak.

They can't afford to Tee him off is the real case. Just as they bribed all those senator with pork in the bailout bill that voted no in the first vote. If you can get elected without one of the two parties support ;youir really more powereful than if you do'.Neither party can count on your vote or use support to pressure you in line with the party.

Lieberman, the party Judas.

Leave him in his chairmanship and remember the old saying:

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

Another smart move on Obama's part. Damn he's good.

Dem politicians are known to betray Dem voters . I think its great as most of them should have been voted out long ago for betraying.

You reelect them you deserve it. They KNOW that voters will complain but accept it and life goes on.

Liebermen should at min be stripped of all his positions
