OMG, what a setup that was!!! I love it. The Palinites p&moan over how the media didn't treat her fairly ... well, now it's just out and out revolution!
LOL, well you may be right, it could have been a set up. If it was, I'm sorry for her but happy for the rest of us who get to enjoy a few chuckles. That's what you get when you declare war on the media. That's never a smart thing for a politician to do.

That's the gotcha media at it's best!!!! You betcha
They showed this on Morning Joe and pointed out that the local tv interviewer did mention to Sarah Palin that the turkey killin' machine in the background might not be the best filming location, but Sarah said "Oh no, this is fine". She then launched into her repetitious, repetitious, (did I say repetitious?) talking points about America.
The very best part, however, was the grinning neanderthal in the background, who was clearly enjoying his tv debut as he stuffed turkey after turkey into his machine. They did blur out parts, presumably the kicking and struggling of the turkey as its head was ground to a pulp. Meanwhile, you could tell he could not wait to run to the nearest phone to call everybody he knew and crow about being on television! He got his 15 minutes of fame! Yesssss! (fist pump)

She didn't hear what the interviewer said. She doesn't listen to anyone.
Exactly, Domergurl. It doesn't seem to matter to Governor Palin. A microphone is there, a camera goes on, and she just launches into a bunch of canned (repetitious!) talking points, no matter what the question is.
That she was so oblivious to the carnage taking place in the background is what makes this piece of film so funny.
"Building this state that's continually being built"
"Reigning in the growth of government" (said that one twice)
"great appreciation for this great country" ('great appreciation' said twice, lost count of how many times she used the word 'great')
heh
"So much has gone on that is, um, political."
She mentions that she'll probably be "criticized for this" and I assume she means the turkey slaughtering interview. She knows what she's doing, she's reveling in it.
She reminds me so much of Dubya.
What a character.
I'm just so thankful that she'll be in Alaska rather than DC.
I agree...All the Barney Fife talk is stunning...and just plain stupid. I think we have had enough of that...I had to 'X' video. I was afraid for the turkey in the backround. Was that man going to just toss it on the ground and chop it's head off or what? Then it would get up and start running around headless...
What kind of lady would interview with that in the backround? I mean, shoot from the other direction for crying out loud. Barf.
It kept her in the press didn't it? Expect more of anything from her as she tries to stay front and center stage. She is very narcistic and believes all should revolve around her. It will be a long way until the 2012 election cycle begins and expect more and more comedy of the absurd.

Hooray, I need a break from election cycles. Thanks for such a happy thought.
