BEDFORD HEIGHTS, Ohio (CNN) -- After two years of traveling around the country and criticizing President Bush, President-elect Barack Obama said Friday that he "always thought [Bush] was a good guy."
"I mean, I think personally he is a good man who loves his family and loves his country," Obama said in an exclusive interview with CNN's John King.

As yet unproven. Time will tell and I hope that you are correct.
Huge, Obama supporter, but I agree. I think that it is far too soon to place laurels upon Obama's brow. Of course, I think that he has all the potential for greatness, and while I would be satisfied with just simple competence, I am for one just not ready to proclaim him Caesar.
Obama is making me sick with all this Republican ass kissing
This is where I think the Dems are spineless, they really dont expose the Republicans for the people they are, this is why Republicans will still have a shot to win back congress in 2010 and the Presidency in 2012

Obama was plenty harsh on Bush's policies during the campaign. And you notice he says "he's a good guy" - separating the man from the political creature. That's diplomatic, gentlemanly and just common sense - why cause an uproar, there's work to be done.

Look,
I dislike the Republicans as much as the next guy, but the fact remains that some 57 million people voted for the GOP. Obama can't be president of only 53% of the country, and I'm glad that he has gracious words for Bush, despite the fact that Bush has mishandled a whole lot in the past eight years
Perhaps you should go and learn what this means
