Why is it and the question been asked 100's of time a person that is of mixed race 50% black and 50% white is always black? If being black is so horrid and being white is so magical wouldn't they say they're white? (I have theories.)
When I worked in public schools 100 years ago, we were required to report mixed race children as the race of their father. I don't know if that is the case now, but was about 30 years ago. I don't know if it was Texas or Federal law or rule.
Conversely, "person of color (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean) privilege" is never having to take ultimate responsibility for your station in life, and being able to rationalize everything bad down to racism and oppression and history.

They bring it with them from their own countries, where in any country where there actually is a sizable white population, the white -- mixed -- black -- indigenous hierarchy remains in tact from colonial times.
