I've seen many bumper stickers that say 1-20-09 "Bush's Last Day". Today that day has finally arrived. For those of you who think the President in this country possesses imperial powers, I open this thread as a service to invite you to make positive remarks on how the new President of the US has improved your life. Any and all comments are encouraged. Since the perception of many is that politicians have the power through legislation, or even through a powerful speech, can uplift and improve the lives of the masses, I start this thread with the hopes of drawing out those fervrent Obama supporters who think that only he can bring about positive change necessary to improve the lives of individuals.

Perhaps the moderator can make this thread a sticky!

Nothing. Bush has been improving my life since the first day he started at a exponentionally rate (to the 2nd degree, although I would think it was more like to the 4th degree, if that makes sense to the conservatives) I am disapointed that the dingus is leaving office. I don't know what I am going to do now.

OMG, this is so exciting! Are you all watching the inauguration!!!! Excitement is in the air for our new president! You all complaining are just a bunch of sore losers, get over it and be proud of your new president!

Did you really expect Obama to accomplish something specific on his first 1/2 day in office during the inauguration festivities? Did you expect this of Bush? Oh..

We're sore losers? How about those people in 2008 still complaining that Bush stole the election?

Off topic. This thread is on Obama not Bush.

I think Mr. Obama is smart enough to hire equally smart people that will make the changes needed to improve our country and economy for the benefit of all of us, not just the financial elite. It will take some time to reverse the decline started by ronald raygun but I believe it can be done and Obama is the man to lead us onto a new course and a new broad based peace and prosperity.

There've been no credible reports that Obama's fixated on invading/occupying any other country without cause while ignoring more urgent problems facing the US.

That's a + on my scoresheet!
