I should let this nonsense go, but this logic really bugs me...

If there weren't people who "LOVE mother earth" out there trying to make things safe and clean, we'd be living in a cesspool. People and corporations would do what's cheap and easy no matter what that did to the environment they have to live in.

Your water would be poison. Your air would be soot. Without tree-huggers, we'd all eventually live in charred, stinking filth.

I think it's pretty crazy that the Democratic party is expected to be the party of the social contract AND of personal responsibility. The latter used to be the goal of the republican party, but there are so many out there who would slash and burn just to prove a point. And the point is? There is coal slag destroying beautiful rivers just upstream from where YOU live. There are mountains being bulldozed into valleys. Progress is being BLOCKED by people who profit from waste, because it's profitable.

The thing is, clean energy is profitable, too. It saves money. It creates jobs. The only things that stand in its way are outmoded corporate structures, lobby money, and caveman mentalities. Why be part of that problem?

Obama's destruction to the environment was 700% worse than Bush's in 2005. Due to 35,000 extra stories printed around the world. How many forests had to be destroyed for that? That's a fact.

What about Obama's new super car, that's leaving the biggest carbon foot print of any President in History.

The reality is that environmentalists are whack jobs, just like any other extremist nut group out there.

Garbage. There are some whackjobs among environmentalists, but most people who fit that mold are just people who are concerned about the health of the environment.

Funny how those environmentalists don't seem to mind 20-40 million NEW people being given amnesty (plus unlimited immigration) who'll put millions of polluting cars on the world and leave a HUGE CARBON FOOTPRINT and cause forests to be torn down due to urban sprawl, cause water shortages, displace animals and create new landfills and pollute more water.

I would consider anyone who enables the raping of the environment, such as Bush and his friends in the fossil fuel and logging industries, to be the real whack jobs.

Obama will finally put things back on an even keel.

How is that possible when he's about to give amnesty to 40 million people and flood the country with millions of legal immigrants?

How is that possible when he's going to cruise around in his super car which leaves a bigger carbon footprint than any car ever used in presidential history?

Oh I get it, if you pray hard enough, he'll magically make the pollution disappear.

There are several flaws in your logic. First of all, assuming he DID give amnesty to illegals as you say he would, how would that change the amount of pollution they create?

Second of all, the new presidential limo isn't big to be lavish. It's big because it's essentially a tank designed to protect OUR president from lunatics.

Why are not the environmentalists crying out about the great pollution and environmental damage caused by this event?

Massive Environmental Damage?

Ummmm...........you might want to rethink that.
