I'm getting confused by the number of doomsday scenarios posted by the neo-cons on this board.
Ahh I was hoping for civil war. I'm just not sure the neo-cons have enough depends to field an army.

Can anyone name ANY high profile NEOCON who has EVER worn a MILITARY uniform? I don't mean "J Crew" fatigues while they ran around playing paintball. IIRC Rumsfeld was a Naval (ROTC) officer and Bush served in the Texas (sorry we're full up, except for the sons of political hacks) Air National Guard-"no Viet Cong north of Padre Island on our watch".

The rest of them, like Cheney had "other things to do".

To answer the OP. I think the GOP is in the death grip of the Radical Preachers and the Neo-con doomsayers. I expect they will nominate a white fundamentalist preacher (or Klan leader) and Sarah Palin for the ignorant women vote. I think the old money heart of the Republican Party has been overwhelmed by the fundies fanatics

Ithnik that its way too early to tell;even Hillary was not leading at this point after the democrats failed with Gore and then kerry. Then Hillary became the so called shoe-in. Obama wasn't even a consideration.
