It's a first lady faux pas -- wearing expensive, high-fashion French designer sneakers to a food bank.

Michelle Obama wore the sneakers, made by Lanvin, while helping feed the poor at a Washington food bank on Wednesday. The pricetag on the footwear? A cool $540.

What does this have to do with the fact that the village idiot was the WORST man to reside in the oval office in history? What does this have to do with 8 lousy years of Republican/Conservative policies that DID NOTHING for this country but throw us into a free fall? The first lady serves the poor while wearing expensive shoes. So what? Bush IGNORED the poor for 8 years and spent nearly a TRILLION dollars trying unsuccessfully to build other nations.

Sour grape conservatives are about as useful as swine flu.

Laura Bush dressed a heck-of a lot better after her husband went into office. She wore those suits that looked like sofa upholstery during the primary, then "bam"... once George was in office she started dressing really nicely!

Everything, I repeat EVERYTHING Alexus writes on this forum is about how great Obama is, how conservative Bush is (he most certainly was NOT), or how terrible Republicans and conservatives are.

This is different than Palin because she got garbed and buffed up by the RNC (with Palin's duds paid for by the RNC) after she was named.

But considering this an issue makes me understand why the Republicans lost Congress.
