I'm not going to spell out and lengthen another post explaining how your argument is bogus. Sit down and read it for more than 15 seconds. This isn't elementary school. If you can't understand the gist of my point, there's no use, and this further proves the point I was making.
And I'm still waiting to hear how Obama is a socialist...
Well, to start, you might try listening to Obamas' speeches and read his policy goals. Might give you a hint.

Obama's economic goals are to stimulate the economy through government aid in failing business and buying into a deficit to further stimulate and trickle up from the working class people. This is Keynsian economics and he's basically copying what Roosevelt did in the 1930's. Neither Keynes nor Roosevelt were socialists. In fact both of them as well as Obama feel if a business and government is legitimately succesful via lassiez-faire, more power to them. The socialist ideal is to eliminate class and have the government run business, successful or not, through totalitariansm. It's apples and oranges compared to Obama's policies. The only shades of Obama's policies even close to Socialism are necesary due to the crappy ability of banks, insurance companies and industries to function in recent times, and Obama is basically avoiding what Hoover did after the stockmarket crash and exaserbate the problem by essentially ignoring it (kind of actually what Bush did too with the current situation). Like I said, it's an ignorant outdated insult by desperate conservatives grasping at straws, and the few people that were ever scared of the Red threat are buying it hook, line and sinker. But hey if you're going to call those on the left socialists, I guess I can call those on the right "Okies", it's outdated and ignorant too. Just because the democrat ideals are closer to socialism than are republican ideals, does not make them socialist. It's the equivalent of me calling republicans facists.

A couple of examples of what even you admit to as socialism. Chrysler, GM, AIG, the banks, attempt at "Universal" healthcare.
The Government taking over and running private industry is socialism. Reverting to name calling by you is just another example that even you realize how silly your arguement is.
Once again, listen to the speeches and policy goals of the current aministration, with an open mind if you can, and then look up the definition of socialism. If you won't educate yourself, no one else can.

The whole notion of our government intruding in business is based on the fact these businesses have fallen flat on their face. Roosevelt did the same thing and he wasn't a socialist. If the government didn't do anything thousands more people would be out of work, CEO's would get away with millions, and the gap between rich and poor would be furthered. In a sense it is a socialist principle, but that isn't to say it's socialism. Like I said, Obama, Roosevelt, Keynes, etc would all say "more power to you" to GMC, AIG, etc if their businesses didn't suck. If they truly were socialist they would have taken over the business even if they weren't an economic disaster. It's one principle of a plan a large plan to in a general sense has relation to socialism and that's about as far as it goes. I can get one principle of the Bush administration and tie it to facism: in times of war, the government would reveal to the public that there were serious and eminent dangers to avoid mistrust from the people in their government, whether the danger was real or not. It's a two-way street, I'm sure you can get a single principle of every administration and tie it to some kind of notorious ideology. The problem is this is just a hissy-fit thrown by conservatives and a decent chunk of people are buying into it.
