Also lets not forget, the information cited in this thread on Fox leading in viewership is from Newsmax, a far-but-not-fringe right wing magazine, who in turns cites it from Politico, a center right web magazine.

TIME was also a big fan of Rudy Guiliani

Wow Fox News and using Newsmax as a source, No wonder Jon Stewart is the most trusted newsman, Newsmax has less credibility than the Onion

I think it's kind of scary that people watch news sources that pander to their ideals, rather than present the news, and perhaps challenge their views... NPR is a wonderful news outlet for this..
I wouldn't doubt if MSNBC leans a bit liberal, but most challenging ideas are liberal in nature..
but fox news is above and beyond.. I mean it is so ridiculously skewed it shouldn't even be considered news legit news... It is clear to me that conservatives are in such a hate fest for years over the media and the percieved liberal bias that they've managed to come up with their own little fox news and it's just so overboard that it doesn't even fit into the wrelm of fair and balanced..
I can't watch fox news for more than 2 minutes without getting angry at the rhetoric on there...
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how much more skewed to the right from center fox news is than any other network... and I think that alone makes it entertainment for many...
watching grey haired white men freak out and foam of the mouth and their perma-smiling beauty queen "news contributors" seems to be entertaining for some.... I highly doubt that more than 50 percent of the audience on fox is actually sitting there liking what they see...

20% of Fox Viewers believe what they hear on Fox News....40 % believe that they hear on CNN.

Good point. I'm a "lib" that watches Fox news. I also listen to Rush Limbaugh. Some of my friends don't see why I do that, but somehow it makes me feel better about my own positions to see and hear such outlandish and blatant BS on the TV and radio. Yes, I add to their ratings. But knowing the crap they speak of allows me to actually inform my conservative friends specifically that what they hear is a distortion of reality. Besides, Rush is hilarious. Did you know he's accurate 99.1% of the time? Amazing!

Reality and mass media are diametrically opposed. So is the alleged "partisan" battle being waged.

Things neither "wing" will mention in print, on the air, or anywhere:
1. In America, citizens are subjects, people are sovereigns.
2. The United States and the United States of America are two different groups.
3. The United States government is a foreign corporation with respect to a state. (How did YOU become a citizen of a foreign corporation?)
4. The U.S. Constitution promises a republican form - not a democratic form of government. (So why is the U.S. fighting for democracy? That's unAmerican!)

*** We've all heard the saying that America's form of government is not perfect, but it's the best there is. If it's the best, why haven't any other nations adopted a "republican FORM of government"? There is only one nation on this planet that recognizes that its people are sovereign - The United States of America.

"At the Revolution, the sovereignty devolved on the people and they are truly the sovereigns of the country."

"Government is not Sovereignty. Government is the machinery or expedient for expressing the will of the sovereign power."
City of Bisbee v. Cochise County, 78 P. 2d 982, 986, 52 Ariz. 1

"In common usage, the term 'person' does not include the sovereign, [and] statutes employing the [word] are ordinarily construed to exclude it."

(* If you're one of the sovereign American people, any statute that says "any person who..." does not refer to you.)

Articles of Confederation (1777)
Article I. The Stile of this confederacy shall be "The United States of America".

Article II. Each state retains its sovereignty, freedom, and independence, and every Power, Jurisdiction and right, which is not by this confederation expressly delegated to the United States, in Congress assembled.

(*The 50 states united are the U.S.A., the federal government is the U.S.)
3.
FEDERAL CORPORATIONS - The United States government is a foreign corporation with respect to a state.
- - - Volume 19, Corpus Juris Secundum XVIII. Foreign Corporations, Sections 883,884

4.
United States Constitution, Article 4, Section 4. The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion;....

"GOVERNMENT (Republican form of Government)- One in which the powers of sovereignty are vested in the people and are exercised by the people, either directly, or through representatives chosen by the people, to whom those powers are specially delegated."
- - - Black's Law Dictionary, Sixth Edition, P. 695

In contrast:
"DEMOCRACY - That form of government in which the sovereign power resides in and is exercised by the whole body of free citizens directly or indirectly through a system of representation, as distinguished from monarchy, aristocracy, or oligarchy."
- - - Black's Law Dictionary, Sixth Edition, P. 432

A republic is not a republican form.
REPUBLIC - A commonwealth; That form of government in which the administration of affairs is open to all the citizens. In another sense, it signifies the state, independent of its form of government.
Black's Law Dictionary, Sixth Edition, P. 1302
A republic is not synonymous with a republican form of government. The People's Republic of China is a republic but not a republican form.

In the republican form, the people are the sovereigns. Pursuant to the Declaration of Independence, governments are instituted among men to secure inalienable rights to life, liberty and property.

So how did government get the authority to compel Americans to train, fight and die, on command? (Selective Service / Conscription is certainly a violation of one's inalienable right to life, liberty and property!)

...by consent.

And since millions of Americans gave consent, surrendered their inalienable rights, all this partisan wrangling is moot.
