Time for Obama supporters to be honest and admit they can no longer support him. Obama ran on the following promises in red and now supports what is in blue.
Bringing home ALL our troops from Iraq.
Now he states we may leave up to 50k troops in Iraq and is escalating an unnecessary war in Afghanistan. Isn't that what McCain said he wanted to do?
No tax increase on the middle class.
Now he wants to pass cap & trade which he admits will raise your utility bills by a large percentage. This means you are paying a tax, without it being called a tax. It also means that everything you need to buy will cost more. That doesn't help the middle class.
Close down Gitmo.
That was not really truthful, as he is now using another detention facility. A bit of smoke an mirrors there. Do Obama supporters ever pay attention to facts or do they just believe what they are spoon fed?
Will govern from the middle, taking input from Republicans.
NOT. Republicans have been shut out of discussions and we now know Obama is governing from the fringe far left. What ever happened to letting everyone review everything in a bill for at least a week before a vote is taken? Oh, that wouldn't work when trying to pass a far left agenda. You don't want people to see what's actually in the bill.

Refuses to support a FULL gay rights policy, including marriage rights. Last time I checked, denying gays marriage rights is a form of discrimination.
I could go on and on. If you supported Obama on what he campaigned on, how can you support him when he governs by the opposite of what he promised? Admit it, either you can no longer support him or you really can't think for yourselves and you will support him no matter what he says or does, even if he is flip flopping on promises.
Anyone questioning why Obama has quadrupled the deficit in 6 months and has never mentioned how we will ever pay this stuff off? What if a Republican did this? Wouldn't the libs be upset? But their side does it 4 times worse then the Republicans and all of a sudden it is allowed?

Did you even read that list? most people voted for Obama because he was going to do things like fund stem cell or ban offshore drilling and a lot the others on that list are just made up or make no sense...for example
since Obama took office DOW is up 800+ points

I also wanted to say, while I agree with you on the fact that obama is garbage, you have to remember that he still has the media,radio,the youth and illegals all on his side. And its no longer if you lied or not, if you have experience or not. Majority of the voters are stupid. They will listen to the news,radio and MTV and vote by what they hear! They wont go and research a candidates past. Like obama, people saw him on every news channel, heard him on the radio. And basically they voted on popularity. Obama did nothing at all before he became president. He was a bum who hung out with racists and terrorists.
If the GOP is smart they would get moving and prepare a Romney/ Huckabee team-up. They together could possibly win. Problem is , neither would want the VP position, so we will likely see Romney/Palin ticket or something like that, which wont work.
The media will ruin the next election, like it did this one. Think about it, how many obama supporters do you see voting republican next time? I know a couple here & there, but overall obama is who the media loves! For some reason people cant see through his evil agenda.
Its also real nice that On January 21, 2009, in his first day in office, Obama banned access to ALL of his records with Executive Order 13489. This overturned GW's provisions allowing the president's records to be made publicly available through the Freedom of Information Act.

Conservatives actually put words in Obama's mouth about war because they couldn't handle how centrist he was.
Obama always said he would end combat operations in Iraq within a safe, reasonable timeline. He never said we would remove all troops. Heck, we still have troops in Germany from WWII. That's just not realistic.
Obama was quite adament about ramping up the war on terror in Afghanistan as a candidate.
So, in short, promise held.

Well, he is moving forward with closing down Gitmo. I'm not sure he realized the extent of logistics that would be involved in dealing with doing all that and may be opening another facility / facilities.
But, the point of closing down Gitmo was more symbolic after the atrocities that occurred there on our tax dollar. So, even if another facility opens to house the detainees, he is working on closing it.
I don't understand why it's so difficult to bring these people to trial and deal with them legally.
In short, time will tell.

I'm not sure that's Obama's fault. I, too, am troubled by how some bills get pushed through over night. I think most of that is Pelosi / Reed, who I don't really like. From what I've seen, Obama has been pretty open. I also think the "party of no" has in some ways forced Dems into a corner by not offering viable options and only attacking.
They could definitely do better and Obama could refuse to sign.
In short, I think the blame gets passed around on both sides of the aisle.

I still support him. He's governing pretty much as a centrist on most issues. He's talked about paying down the deficit by the end of his term and I hold him to that promise. Deficit spending was the plan all along, so it's important to give it time to work - spur new renewable industries, rebuild broken infrastructure, evolve our health care system, redefine our global relations...

one big reason that he should not be supported is that he is going to be offering his health care plan to illegal immigrants. either he has no respect for working americans or he has no idea how much this will cost. i am getting so disgusted with all of his spending and none of it working.

The House Ways and Means Committee nixed the Heller amendment by a 26-to-15 vote along straight party lines, and followed this action by passing the 1,018-page bill early Friday morning by a 23-to-18 margin, with three Democrats voting against the plan.
The Democratic plan will embrace Obama’s vision of bringing free government medical care to more than 45 million uninsured people in America – a significant portion of whom are illegal aliens.
According to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, costs under the Obama plan being proposed by the House will saddle citizens with $1.04 trillion in new federal outlays over the next decade.

It's funny how democrats cannot face reality and deal with the facts as they are. Their fall-back position is to blame the other side. They just cannot admit that ANYTHING their candidate has done is wrong.
The CBO has stated that Obama's numbers are make believe and will bankrupt the country.
Obama "says" he will balance the budget and people are to believe that? He has no realistic plan on how to pay off what HE charged. Sure, if you increase the spending by 4 times, then cut it by 2 it looks like a cut. THAT"S STILL SPENDING MORE THAN BEFORE. Wake up people!
Obama went from a claim of creating millions of jobs to "saving" jobs. There is no measure for saving jobs. The number they make up is based off of spend x dollars = save y jobs. It's made up crap. We have lost a record number of jobs on OBAMA'S watch, because of HIS bad policies. The exact OPPOSITE of what he promised.
Obama promised that if we hurried up and passed this urgent spend package, that he then waited four days to sign, unemployment would get no worse than 8%. He said without passing this bill that he did not want us to, nor allowed us to read first, unemployment would tip out at 9%. Well now we are 9.5% and rising. Obama's policies are making the situation worse, as predicted by anyone who knows anything about economics or bothers to study history IE Jimmy Carter disaster. We have lost a record number of jobs on OBAMA'S watch, because of HIS bad policies. The exact OPPOSITE of what he promised.
Here is a fact. If Bush did exactly as Obama is doing, the libs would be tearing him to shreds. But because it is Obama, it is now oki doki. Libs are so phony and they actually think they are fooling us.
Here is another fact. As much as the libs want to live in their make believe land, many independents and some democrats are now waking up. This is the reason that Obama is in NEGATIVE approval rating territory on his policies. That means the MAJORITY of America DOES NOT LIKE his policies. The only positive rating he has now is for his personality and people are waking up to his phoniness now.
