That's quite a prediction considering he's been in office for about 200 days and has about 1200 days left. Another way to look at it: He's only about 15% through his term. He has 85% left.
It's surprisingly easy to predict the future by remembering the past. Been there, done that. Carter was all about big changes and wonderful ideas with no clue how to make it work. To succeed at anything you must first have a goal and then, and this next part is very important, a workable plan. A goal with an unworkable plan simply can't work. It's not sorcery.
To be honest, the world envisioned by both Carter and Obama sound like wonderful places. I love science fiction and fantasy novels. Some of the worlds created in these marvelous works of fiction seem like nirvana but when I close the book, it's the real world that comes crashing in on the fantasy and in this real world things just don't work that way.
The world isn't nice and it certainly isn't fair. That's not going to change. It's simply not part of human nature. It would be great if it was but you'd have to have EVERYONE on board. That's not going to happen.
Joe, every President promises "a better America" and paints a vision of a "shining city on a hill" (Ronald Reagan) or a "kinder, gentler nation" (George H.W. Bush).
Another classic from Reagan: "It's morning in America." Nice words, but I think most people understand that it's all part of the political game.
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin may still be making news headlines, but the U.S. electorate has news for her. If the 2012 presidential election were held today and she were the Republican candidate, Palin would not defeat President Barack Obama. In fact, the president would win the election by a considerable margin.
Wow, that really says something about your President. He would beat Sarah Palin. BOy please try not to hold your elected officials to such high standards. Do you think Bob Barker would beat Obama?
I would like to see how Mike Bloomberg would fair Against Obama when unemployment is at 9.5% in 2012.
No, I disagree with this! Come on Palin supporters!! Get her message out!! Tell her how much you and the country need her!!!! Tell her to talk more and more!!! The world needs her voice!!!! We'll end up commies without her!!!!!
Palin 2012!!!!
just what we don't need is more good o'le boy politics. After they look into her deeds I expect she will be tied up in the courts and too busy to run. She is an idiot and will always be that. I would think anyone would have had enough of that after 8 years of it from W.

How much you wanna bet it'll be Clinton once again challenging Obama. Palin, oh man, no. At this point I hope there is a 2012 for the US as we know it.
Eh, no sane person wants to see Sarah Palin in national office.
I do, really I do. I want the right to have have another chance at running the country thoroughly into the ground so that once and for all we can rid ourselves of the delusion that they have a clue about what works and what doesn't.
