For those of you living in Arizona, don't you think it might make sense to keep illegals from entering your state?

If you keep voting for people who make illegal immigration possible ... you reap what you sow. At the expense of all American taxpayers.

When the health care debate first started I was for the concept of universal healthcare for all just from the moral standpoint. But then as more information became available and I did my homework my views changed. I am now against the healthcare reform measures for the following reasons.

The government has lost it's credibility with me because there are two "no brainers" in health care reform. One is Tort reform. This would change the whole dynamics of how doctors practice medicine and bring down cost. Obama has taken tort reform off the table and done so strictly as a political payoff to the trial lawyers Assoc.

The second issue is drug purchasing pooling. If the Government pooled the medicare system for drug purchasing the cost of drugs would plummet for the average citizen but that too has been taken off the table. This is a political giveaway of the worst sort.

Finally I looked at a government run health care system that has been in existance since WW1. That is the Veteran's Administration. The government has had almost 100 years to refine their own health delivery system to create a cost effective, efficient health care program for it's servicemen and have failed miserably. The Veteran's hospitals have always been understaffed, underfunded, outdated and sub standard. Every administration since Woodrow Wilson has promised to reform the system but none have done so.

Why would I think that this same government could now give us a well funded, efficient health care system when they have failed so miserably with the Veteran's hospital system? Add to that the refusal to modify the "sacred cows" of tort reform and the drug companies and you have a flawed concept right from the get go.

First of all, liberals don't care about the degradation of healthcare for 80% of Americans. They just want to give ( I suppose the less fortunate ) a bone. Socialism. Level the playing field in favor of those who won't work.

When American military men & women go off to war, they put their lives on the line to protect us and advance the freedom we hold so dearly.

Of course, some don't want to give the defenders of freedom much respect. That is sad.

What really is disgusting is that when a man or woman comes home from a war zone, in service to you and I, they often are given less than the best healthcare.

Well it's either a pay per post worker, or an Acorn whack job or a SEUI worker or could just be Nancy Pelosi is posting again.

Are you mad as hell the illegal's aren't covered during the day? Shame, isn't it! Poor things have to wait til 6pm to get their free care. What a hassle for them.

We need to stop handing out care to ILLEGALS, PERIOD and get the blood sucking lawyers to be controlled. Tort reform is what we need.

maybe then we need to change existing laws first, since we can't afford to be treating them at all.

The Administration believes that comprehensive health reform should:
  • Reduce long-term growth of health care costs for businesses and government
  • Protect families from bankruptcy or debt because of health care costs
  • Guarantee choice of doctors and health plans
  • Invest in prevention and wellness
  • Improve patient safety and quality of care
  • Assure affordable, quality health coverage for all Americans
  • Maintain coverage when you change or lose your job
  • End barriers to coverage for people with pre-existing medical conditions
Now what is wrong with this?

You must think that hospital intake is trained in immigration status and law.

Default I am in no organization!!

First of all, I am a advocate for better health care. I have been accused of being with ACORN, this is untrue. Why is that? Because some of you are upset with what I have to say.

Second of all, I am insured with a government insurance and it is satisfactory. It is not free, and it is not 100 percent but at least I am not having to pay for costly health care insurance. My husband is retired military.

Thirdly, I feel that our present health care situation is broken by insurance companies, by lawyers who chase ambulances, and we need health care reform.

We all can agree to disagree and I am willing to hear all sides. Lets just keep civil about it.

Most of us have seen the movie, Sicko. It speaks for itself.

The middle class are most affected. The retired you have to pay large premiums to cover 20 percent that medicare doesn't cover or join a HMO.

We as a nation, can do better.

35 years ago, you never heard of people having to sell their houses to pay for their medical costs, even though they had health insurance, we need reform.
The quality of health care was superb 35 years ago compared to what it is now. The health care in America has become costly and it is not keeping up with the demand, we need reform.

Insurance companies and the financial institutions have become so big and so powerful, it astonishes me, we need reform.

When we have HMO's for profit, and they decide the life of a human being or $$$ in their packet, that is a unsettling feeling to me. When it comes down to cost versus life and costs win out...we need reform.

I am a married woman, who is concerned for this nation.

I have seen this nation at its best and now I see it as a nation that is broken.

We as Americans have to become pro-active. The politicians have ruined this country and now we have to regain partly what we have lost. We can only do it if we become involved and not rely on these people who are self serving.

I have read cruel words about Senator Ted Kennedy but Kennedy lived his life in the way he spoke to others. He was not perfect, he made a mistake that he could not take back, he devoted his life to do better, he wanted equality and justice for all. I did not agree with all of what Kennedy said or did but for the most part I did. He advocated quality education, don't give up and pursue your goals. He unselfishly gave.
Kennedy has always wanted equal and affordable health care for all.

As our jobs here in America are dwindling for many reasons, more and more people will be without health care.

Lets not have the mindset of the owner of Whole Foods. We can do better.

So you think this government take over of health care will fix all this? You've got everything all wrong. This administration has caused most of the problems we have right now (high unemployment, inflation, and the threat of hyperinflation, huge debt and deficit, etc) and what this administration didn't do themselves, was cause in large part by past Democrat policies (as in the CRA, which caused the sub-prime mortgage and the banking meldown etc.)

What we need is a good strong dose of Capitalism! And get the government the hell out of the way! That is the only thing thing that will fix our ailing economy. More government will only make things far worse. Look at the damage this administration has caused in only 7 months!
