Rush is not a racist person at all, sure he says some goofy things but he is personally not a racist person.
Donovan McNabb is arguably a hall-of-famer and one of the best quarterbacks of this generation. To say the only reason anyone likes him because he's black is about as racial as you can get. It might not be racist *****, but the OP said he never said anything regarding race, which couldn't be further from the truth.

Goodell is a staunch conservative too. He realizes this clown would bring totally bad publicity to his business.

Rush has made millions making partisan and divisive statements. The NFL, like Disney, is in the entertainment business. If the owners did not want to have a controversial figure in their partnership, then tough noogies.

This ain't political -- Rush has made his bed and should wallow in it.

I dont think those NFL owners are Democrats, though the NFL is a successful socialist enterprise. Rush Limbaugh, closet commie when it suits him - who knew?

The last thing a sports franchise needs is a euphoric, incoherent, hate mongerer like Limbaugh, that would be bad PR, compounded by the fact that he is a known drug junkie, he only attracts extremists and losers......

How is the NFL a socialist enterprise? They are one of the most profit hungry operations in America today. Is it because of the players union?

funny and true:

Rush Limbaugh turns hard left, embraces NFL socialism - STLtoday.com (http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/columnists.nsf/kevinhorrigan/story/0720E14FF9E6A2338625764A00832986?OpenDocument - broken link)

All I know is I'm glad they kept that blowhard out of the NFL. Anyone who listens to his program will know that he obviously sees anyone who isn't rich, white, and Conservative as inferior.
