Some Republicans say that Crist isn't conservative enough. His main challenger is Marco Rubio, former Speaker Of The Florida House Of Representatives.

Although Crist is currently ahead in the polls, my hunch is that Rubio is going to win the nomination when all is said and done.

It really depends if the GOP wants to keep the Florida Senate Seat by nominating a guy who would crush the Democratic opponent or if the GOP wants to nominate a guy who would motivate the opposition.

I think Rubio will squeak out the nomination.

The RNC better not screw up again and endorse the liberal republican like they did with Scozzafava in NY 23. It's funny that a few posters here are constantly calling us racists, but I'd venture that 99.9% of true conservatives want Rubio over Crist.

I hope Rubio wins. That will ensure the Democrat will win the general- just like happened in NY 22! But my feeling is that Christ will win the nomination.

No actually it wont with the current unemployment and such in Fla that people in Fla are going thru and how many arent happy with the direction of things

Fla has a 11.2% unemployment rate

Charlie Crist is going thru some trouble for telling two media outlets that he didnt know about Obama coming but emails has come out and now Crist has come out saying yes he did know

I think Charlie Crist might want to stay in Florida. Spending too much time in DC will hurt his perpetual tan.
