The point of the thread; Kennedy was vulnerable, which was confirmed by his not seeking reelection. I think most are tired of the Kennedy entitlement mentality.

Post proof, any proof at all, that Kennedy CHOSE not to run for re-election because he was, as you say, *vulnerable*. There's no interest in what you may assume Patrick Kennedy THOUGHT because you are not Patrick Kennedy's brain and you cannot possibly objectively know what he thought when he made the decision not to run, other than what PATRICK KENNEDY SAYS. Not interested in your opinons of what Patrick Kennedy thought and what is reasonsing was. Those opinions would not be worth the space they would take to be written. And what, pray tell, is the Kennedy entitlement mentality? Is that anything more than YOUR opinion? If so, please offer up a definition and some proof to support your above contention, if it is anything other than your opinion.

Yet another pathetic opinion not worth the space it takes up in writing. You are certainly not in Patrick Kennedy's brain, and you certainly cannot speak for his motives for doing anything.

Patrick, son of The Swimmer, was/is a substance abuser. He can say whatever he likes - seldom do politicians give the "real" reason.

Given the political climate and especially what happened in Mass.

Oh look;

Poll: Rep. Kennedy vulnerable in Nov.
Quote:
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Congressman Patrick Kennedy may be facing his most difficult re-election campaign in 16 years, according to an exclusive WPRI-12 Poll released this week.

The poll shows 31 percent of those interviewed said they would “consider another” candidate and 28 percent said they would “vote to replace” Kennedy. Those who would re-elect the eight-term Congressman came in at 35 percent. Five percent weren’t sure.
The above = Vulnerable.

Truth hurts. Little Patty was/is a drunk. We can say that because he was arrested for DUI, right?

Although I've never heard about her being busted ... I can only guess that Nancy Pelosi has been sniffing glue for decades. Just a hunch.

By the way - Sanrene is right on this one.

ASSUMPTIONS, ASSUMPTIONS, ASSUMPTIONS regarding WHY Patrick Kennedy chose to not run for re-election. You simply do not know what is in his mind. I find it interesting, however, that YOU would fail to take into account that his FATHER died last summer, a father whom he loved very much and worked very closely with in Congress, and the fact that SOME PEOPLE actually grieve when a very dear loved one dies. Of course, I wouldn't expect everyone to understand grief nor have a clue how long one may grieve over such a loss. Only thing some people have the intellectual or emotional capacity for is low-rent mud slinging. Btw, it has not been my life experience that the truth hurts. Has that been yours? If so, you have my deepest sympathy.
