Who Will Run For President On The 2012 Democratic Ticket? Obama Can't Win. So Who?

It is obvious to most Americans, that Barack, ideologically, holds too nearly to himself - Socialism.

Barack is embraced dearly by uber-liberals and folks who HOPE to get something for nothing.

Are there any Democrats who will actually decide to support business and the jobs that become available through their employee's hard work?

Without bending to union demands for more power and taxpayer funded subsidies?

Is there one person who could run on the Democratic Ticket in 2012 that has the grit to stand up for what Americans want?

Not gay rights. Not wealth resdistribution.

But, fiscal responsibility. No apology tours. No more deals that stink of bribery and back room, closed ears legislation.

Since Obama has turned America's Center off, how can Democrats really expect some sort of victory in the next Presidential election?

If Democrats care about their future, they'd better start thinking about how that future will be achieved. It won't be with Obama.

Hillary won't run again either.

It would be hard for another Democrat to beat Obama in the Democrat primary. Besides the thugocracy coming at you for daring to oppose him, when they break down his approval rating with just Democrats, I'm pretty sure I remember reading, with members of his own party, it was still decent.

I think, you think, most Democrats don't embrace the nanny state/big government. Unless they're a "silent majority," I think you might be wrong.

Ya know LauraC,

That's a good point. I suppose that a majority of Democrats do embrace the nanny state and big government.

From where I'm coming from, sometimes that doesn't occur to me.

Democrats must someday face the fact though, that money doesn't just come out of thin air.

A nanny state really is control over you and me. Decided by folks who think that they know better than you and I. It is control handed to power grabbing liberals, by folks who won't stand up for themselves ...

And at who's expense?

Anyway, left wing voters will probably vote again for expansion of "the nanny state". Likely because all they care about is a free ride rather than freedom. So if it's not Obama it will be some other Euro-thinking redistributionist.

too soon to tell who will run, but I really don't think the Democrats will make the same mistake they did in 1980 and encourage anyone to run against Obama. As for the Republican party, holy cow, who knows at this stage. Every day we hear a new name while some of the ones that are or were getting attention seem to be dieing down a bit...I would guess within the next 9 months we will have a really good picture. Obama certainly is vulerable.

They screwed over the better candidate in Hillary and are paying for it.

Yes, they will repeat 1980 and allow his failures go continue and they will get a total smackdown for it.

Any good conservative minded rep with some experience could cause Obama a ton of problems.

I am going with Newt for now. But, so many rising stars in the rep party that might pop up and be noticed.

I said Obama will take down the dem party and I am dead on right. He has killed the entire party with his ways.

Obama is a lame duck walking his way until he goes back to Chicago.

The biggest mistake in American political history will be over then.

There are zero rising stars in the dem party. The leaders like Pelosi and Reid have held them down and ruined them.

They will be stupid enough to run this miserable failure because he is the leader of their party. Some leader huh?

Yeah,

Some leader indeed. An apologetic leader. Always preaching to the rest of the world that we are to blame for everyone else's woes. Obama even believes that we caused Islamic hatred for our way of life.

There are some differences in American society since this country was founded. When America was in its early days people had to survive. That meant working hard ... even just to have food on the table.

Industry changed and improved our standard of living dramatically up to 1900. Industry and inventions then improved American comfort even further.

Entrepreneurship continued and still does to this day. But, a philosophy enacted by certain progressive Presidents during the last century infected the landscape.

The philosophy was entitlement. Entitlement to the extent that we see today, and the Democrat's desire to extend even more, is truly dangerous for all Americans.

It has made those who are lazy more lazy.

Now I know that most folks don't get out a gun to hunt for their food anymore - although some do.

In todays world we must encourage business and allow for jobs to be in demand. And people HAVE TO WORK to have food and pay their mortgages.

Sitting on one's ars and waiting for a check is not a sign of ambition. It is probably the weakest exhibition of survival imaginable.

Yet those who vote for big government liberals are really screaming out for more handouts.

It could be a couple more generations before the kids see another Messiah as Robin Hood-like as Barack.

As there are currently ZERO rising stars in the repubs. Everytime one promises to show good, their personal lives, i.e. immorality, preceeds them.

This thread is absolutely ridiculous. The idea that Obama can't win in 2012 has to be one of the most dense things I have ever seen posted on here (wanted to use other words, but didn't want a TOS violation). Obama's approvals are HIGHER than Reagan's was at this point in 82, yet he is done?? His approvals are pretty much right around what Bush had heading into Election Day in 04. This thread is a complete and utter joke.
