President Obama delivered on his biggest promise, and it feels sweet !!!, no regrets, the democrat majority did all they could to get the right wing to participate in this historic event, they opted however to not participate, big mistake, it will backfire big time, their hopes for seats in the november midterm election will not materialize, Obama's administration will be the one to emulate the rest of this century, the republicans with
their incompetent and mentally unstable leadership will continue side-lined,
god bless Barack!!!!!!

More Dems will go down between now and 2012.

If agreeing with them and voting "yes" is your idea of the republicans participating, then you're right, the republicans opted not to participate. The democrats did all they could to ignore them, except when it came to using them as a scapegoat and blaming them for difficulty they were having getting the bill passed even though they had a huge majority in the house and a filibuster-proof senate. The democrats did a lot of the writing and dirty dealing behind closed doors amongst themselves (even though it was suppose to be all on C-span, like Obama also promised).

I don't know about emulating this administration for the rest of the century but, they'll all be out of office by the time the s*it hits the fan from this bill with the way they're phasing so much of it in after 2014. Social security is one giant ponzi scheme that didn't even take into consideration any spikes in the birth rate (like with the baby boomers) and now it's headed for bankruptcy because of it but, you don't hear people holding Roosevelt responsible for that.

The generation that will be running the country by then, isn't old enough now to understand what they're living through now....they'll just read about this in school. The people old enough to remember this well, will all be seniors by then and the generation running the country will want them all to just shut up, just like what happens now.

Default Change we will all treasure?

Only if you approve of the change of all personal rights being run through the government, right of decision and all your personal property being sent to the government as a joyous change, then you are right.

Otherwise, you just exposed yourself as an elitist who shows no ability to reason for himself by following the hateful ideals of "the one".

The problem with the right wingers is that they can not deal with the fact that the democrats are in power, and doing it right, I think we have to go
back to Eisenhower as the last adequate Republican presidency, since then, all have failed, including the last one by Bush jr, generally recognized as the worst ever, in contrast to Obama's that points to one of the best since the beggining.......
