What's up with this First Lady quote?

Referencing a visit to Kenya she called it Obama's "Home Country".

Since when is that a term for land of your father and other relatives going back in time?

Not a good call for the wife of a sitting President.
You think the United States would be his Home Country.
From all of his apologizing I guess he's ashamed of it.

Isn't it plausible that she misspoke and actually meant father land? Obama's father land would be Kenya.

And by the way, his Birth certificate is attached.

Home country is a term often used with 1st or 2nd generation citizens of America, and probably other places. It's weird how in this "melting pot" of America there is still so much ignorance as to a very basic term as "home country" or "fatherland" or "motherland." I was born in the USA as was my mother...I consider the USA my country but I consider my fatherland and motherland as other countries, countries of my ancestors. It's not a big deal. Most of us have heritage elsewhere. How has this spin been permitted regarding Obama's ancestry in a country where many people's families have not been legit and present for more than a few generations?

Kenya is his home country. hussein obama is an usuper who published a few false birth certificates on the internet. You do not need to do that unless you are a liar that has something to hide.

dcsldcd: where are your parents and grandparents from? Homebred good ol' Americans through and through?

You know, I thought of something. Because you LOVE referring to the President by his middle name, it appears you have a total obsession with arabic sounding things. YOU need to go to the Middle East. In fact, I feel the government should sponsor you, on a sort of cultural exchange experiment

So the burden of proof is on you to prove that he isn't a citizen. What proof do you have that the birth certificate is illegitimate? .

I wouldn't waste your time engaging in such challenges with that poster. "hussein obama" dcsldd-whatever has a pretty suspicious bone to pick with the President, by any means neccessary it appears.

Barack Hussein Obama's birth certificate is not the crucial document that would make him eligible, or ineligible to be POTUS. His citizenship at the time of his birth would determine that. The fact that none of us has access to his original long-form birth certificate causes an extreme lack of evidence on both sides of this argument. He has not been properly vetted for the position that he was elected to. His lack of documentary evidence raises great suspicion as to his true citizenship, and his sealing of all of his personal records enhances that suspicion. Will he ever tell the truth? Will he ever reveal to the electorate who he really is? We have nothing until that time. I just hope that it happens soon so that we can move on to enacting Constituionally-based legislation, instead of the Marxist-inspired, socialistic laws that are being pushed down our collective throats lately.

I would say that would be Obama's Father's Land.

I grew up in a neighborhood with many either from a foreign land themselves or the children first generation U.S. born.

Though there was a fondness from those children I never heard it refered to as "Fatherland" or Home Country"....ever.

Now I've heard "Home Town" as in where one was from.

As an aside since I never mentioned a birth certificate the above posted is a Certificate of Live Birth.
Not one and the same.
