I heard they are making Bonnie and Clyde into one...sheesh!

How about Bergmann's The Seventh Seal?

Ohhh...

Now that we're back from the Holy Land,
We just wanna hide in the sand,
Oh, oh, unlucky us,
Everyone's coughing up blood and black pus,

We don't mean to be VAGUE!
But everyone's dying of PLAGUE!

Hitchock's The Birds - Intentionally had little music.

Umberto D

Beneath the Planet of the Apes

Au revoir Les Enfants

Stalker (Tarkovsky film)

The Killing Fields

Not sure those are good choices, but imagining any of them as musicals is weird to me this morning.

Le Samouraï: La comédie musicale

If you've seen this film, you know why it would not make a very good musical.

Was that the one with Alain Delon? I saw it in Paris.

making Saw into a musical would be pretty wild....but I guess that'd be like going to a Ghallager show set to music.

Yes, Alain Delon was the taciturn hitman in the film.

Has My Dinner with Andre been a musical? Would that be a tad unusual to do? I seem to recall it's just two guys having a conversation. I guess you could make them sing the conversation though. Hm.

The Sorrow and the Pity probably wouldn't make a good musical. Although maybe documentaries are a different deal.

The classic 1987 Arnold Schwarnegger film Predator... Oh wait, that's already been done.

On the other hand, I think Apocalypse Now would be a good choice for a rock opera...

I think any movie could be made into a musical if you have the right attitude
