The tv series 'Luck' was slammed because three horses died in the making of it, but look what goes on, with little supervision, in real world horse racing:

It's disgusting how these animals are treated. The entire activity should be closed down.

I read this article a few weeks ago. The picture is heartbreaking.

If you look at the stats, it's the state of New Mexico that has the most problems, and all their tracks are WELL over the average.
