I wondered about making money on youtube. Unless the video goes viral how do you do it? I probably have 20 videos on there and the most watched has near 7000 views, not exactly burning up the web there.
This past Amazing Race show had a young team on it and they claimed to be you tube hosts. Kind of a weird job but if they can make a living Good for them.

I believe you get a percentage of the ad revenue generated by your videos. So the more people on youtube seeing ads because of your video the more you make. Can anyone correct me of I'm wrong?

I was excited and very interested when I clicked on the articles. After some scrolling, I soon realized that the articles are a few years old so the information is probably different now. Thanks anyway.
There is a gal named Michelle Phan on youtube who shows people how to put on different types of makeup styles, etc...she has been reported to make like $1.5mil just off youtube...she has deals outside of youtube due to her popularity with some major makeup firms like Maybelline, etc. to further increase her income and net worth.
