I'm just happy they aren't playing Led Zeppelin or the Eagles anymore. I can't count the number of times I've heard DJs say it's time to "get the lead out". And shoot me if I ever hear Hotel California again.

I'm with you there! I was a kid in the 70's with an older sister, heard it all the time. Rock music suffered in the 80's so the rock stations continued to play. I welcomed, embraced, and never let go the 90's grunge era.
It was disconcerting the 1st time I heard Pearl Jam on our "Classic" (KZOK!) rock station, I did some quick math and realized it's been 20 years and it's classic rock.
