bit of an overkill seeing that there are only about nine or ten 8-track tapes that are left in the world and with most of those remaining, the tape has been shredded and can't be played anyways.

Actually 8-Tracks were very easily repaired.

I used to have about 50 of them but gave them away to a friend whose only source of music was an 8 track.

Some pretty decent ones in there, kind of regret it, but he was a good dude.

I have 10 cartridges and they are beautiful

1) Woodstock 69 - Two cartridges (I also have this on record and VHS)
2) Blind faith - 1969 (I also have this on record)
3) Neil Diamond - Hot august night (LIVE - 1972)
4) Yes - Fragile (1971) (I also have this on record)
5) The who - Whos next (1971) (I also have this on record)
6) Frank Sinatra - I've got the world on a string (16 greatest hits)
7) The Best of Eddie Arnold (I also have this on record)
8) The best of the band
9) GOLD SOUND - 1961 (12 songs from 1961)
10) The best of Kool and the gang - THIS IS K-RAD! -- Music from thier first 2 albums.....

What I like about my tapes is I can listen to them IN MONO (8 tracks, vhs, cassettes) -- My records I cannot,if they are stereo thats what I hear..... (I prefer Mono ... Always have --- It sounds better for the most part)

Thumbs up *

Good for you Coney, pure analogue glory

I just got 2 more cartridges the other day! -- What ones do you have my friend?

1) Music of Christmas - Chimes and Organs
2) Soul train - HALL OF FAME (22 soul hits)

I didnt think I would be able to save SOUL TRAIN .. When I first put it in it wouldnt play..... I took it out and had a closer look @ the tape and it was damaged (bent in half kind of)...... I wheeled it thru manually with my finger a little and then put it back in the player fast forwarding it to the end of the track... Then I played it and the first time it got stuck in a couple spots (I had to wiggle it) but when it played again on track 2 it went thru w/o issue so the tape was flattened out thankfully in the spool!!

WHAT A GOOD COLLECTION!!!!!!!!! -- Im glad I was able to save it!

I have a Jackson 5 Greatest Hits (forgot the album title) and The Rolling Stones Hot Rocks. I have a few others, but would have to dig them out. I don't have a big collection. The 8 track player was part of a stereo system that still works (panasonic).

No, it's not a recorder. It just plays the tapes. It wasn't an expensive stereo either.
