neither but if I had to choose it would be TV. With my computer I can find anything and everything i need including visiting with friends I don't even know but feel like I do and debating with some. The TV, well it never really talks back to me. It is a one way street.
Is there really a distinction these days? I watch television shows and news on my computer all the time. Is a smart TV more TV or computer? For the most part they are moving to be one and same.
Got rid of cable twice in the past, which included all local stations as well, last time was several days before the Princess Diana tragedy.
I actually started about four days ago watching absolutely nothing, and I like the quiet, but I caved yesterday morning for several minutes.
I had the local news on waiting for the weather only.
The next story was about a woman who was pulled over, possibly over a traffic violation.
She drove off at one point injuring the officer, so now she's a fugitive and they flashed her picture on the screen to get the public's help.
Sounds good, but they also had their station's little logo banner emblazoned across the lower part of her face, starting approx. at her lips, to the bottom of the screen...at least it wasn't flashing, blinking, or strobing!
Other than that, the only thing worse with the news is when they announce; "There's a new report on which toys or food that may be harmful to your child, see my report Friday at 11 pm"!
Along with regular programming that either I don't like, or doesn't fit into my schedule, the above scenario also solidifies my choice.

If defining TV as the traditional cable/broadcast network model then there is a huge difference between internet and TV. if defining TV as youtube and similar online resources then the line between internet and TV is more blurry. For the sake of this thread I am considering TV to be the traditional model. My answer is I would give up the traditional TV. The internet provides resources to make my life better, traditional TV does not.
