My wife and I had an interesting discussion yesterday about who would be the best entertainers in the world when viewed from the above perspective: who is the performer that not only is the best at singing, but they are the best at dancing and playing a musical instrument.

We came up with Elvis Pressley. We agreed that Elvis is one of the best at singing, dancing, and playing an instrument. He is one of those rare performers that can do all three. Who else are we missing?

Oh, we did say Prince deserves to be in the conversation...

I would add Madonna and Michael Jackson. I'm not sure about their instrumental ability, but their songwriting was obviously brilliant.

I don't consider some of these folks the be good dancers. They can prance around a stage okay, but that's not really dancing ability, IMO. (Did Elvis do anything other than the hip swivel/rubber legs thing? LOL)

Off the top of my head, Lady Gaga comes to mind.

As a virtuoso frontman, Prince on guitar is the first image to come to mind. Two bassist sidemen Duke Lobe with Rose Royce and Jamero Artis with Bruno Mars. Bruno Mars himself while good doesn't have videos of him playing calling him among the greatest of all time like Prince does.

But I still think Paul Stanley deserves a lot more recognition in this.
