A subsequent season will be released of a show I enjoyed, and they’re so busy trying to get me to watch New Girl (no thanks), that they won’t even recommend the show they know I actually watched!

I'm very new to the whole streaming thing. Still doing a trial of Netflix and others and will only pick one. 80% of their material is useless fodder IMHO anyway. I really hate having myself profiled to the point no other "options" ever come up. Why do they assume if I watched one theme I have no interest in anything else? How boring is that? OTOH, I can't seem to inform the system what I DON'T have any interest in...I still have to scroll through endless banal kiddy and adolescent angst options despite never selecting them.

Yeah, they used to let us know, wonder why they stopped. Now what I do is I keep the shows in my queue then when new episodes of said shows come in I know right away because of the red block saying new episodes.

Okay, there is a lot of cr*p on Netflix. That's like telling me that it rains in Seattle - and I live there. There's also more to it than that. It is also an improvement over cable, which is almost nothing but cr*p.

They dumped the 5-star rating system because subscribers were refusing to watch anything with less than 4-stars, replacing it with an up-or-down "like/dislike" vote. So, you now have to dig through that much more cr*p to find what's worth watching, because they can't make any money from cr*p if you don't watch it.

I recently helped a friend install Netflix on his FireStick. There was almost nothing but cr*p on the front screen, which is different from my front screen. That's because I don't watch cr*p, which is why they serve more stuff that isn't cr*p up to me.

Note Netflix Search is your best friend - just type in "danish tv shows".

Okay... "political crap" is everywhere. That's life. It's good to not watch things you don't care for.

I can say I am a happy customer been with them a long time. But they are starting to drag on me. Too many foreign films with voice over or sub-titles. I understand that since their in every country in the world so they need to program, but they need to note that in the details.

Watching Amazon more and more each month.

I'm still happy with Netflix, even though they don't carry as many older movies for stream as they used to. There's usually at least one new show or movie worth watching each month along with the backlog of old movies and TV available, and the stand-up specials are pretty good. Plus they're a less evil corporation than Amazon or Disney, from a personal standpoint. I have Hulu with the live TV package, but it's going up from $45 to $55 a month for me so not sure it is still worthwhile.
