Here is my position. This upcoming Halloween, I want to create a scary/haunted looking environment for Halloween. I was thinking this would either be for a Halloween party or a fixed path for trick-or-treaters on Halloween night. My issue is that I don’t have friends that I can do this with at their houses/apartments or wherever. Also, since I wouldn’t be a very good host for a party I think my best bet would be something for trick-or-treaters.

There is at least 5 months left before Halloween. This might seem like a strange situation, but how can I find someone who would want to do this with me at their places? I’m living with my parents right now and they don’t want me doing this to their home as they’ll be busy and I don’t want them in the background because I want this to feel real.

I'm not really sure what you have in mind exactly, but as with any endeavor, you're going to want to asses your budget first.

Okay well right now my plan is a fixed path for trick-or-treaters with a scary environment with scary music and/or sounds. The environment would look scary for Halloween with things such as hanging cobwebs, skeletons, spiders, black walls, etc. If you have ideas for me, money is not an issue.

It doesn’t matter. The issue I’m having is the social situation.

Gotcha. Do you have A LOT of materials/props? If so, then maybe rent a warehouse and charge a menial admission? Do this every year, and people will start to come in droves. The "make believe" world is VERY LUCRATIVE.

San Diego has a convention that started out very small, too. It's called COMIC-CON. People LOVE to dress up, and fantasize of being someone they are not. There's HUGE $$$$$ in this.

Bring music into the mix, and you have COACHELLA. Same fantasy.

Nah, I don’t like the warehouse setting. I prefer a house because it’s more familiar. Do you know if I can borrow abandoned houses or houses for sale? I live in Montreal, Canada in case this helps.

Borrow? Unlikely. Rent? Possibly. What's your budget?
