Either way, Disney is not acquiring DC.

Honestly, I was surprised when they let Disney acquire Fox.

Warner Bros or whoever the parent company is be foolish to let DC comic go without a ridiculously exorbitant price. How will Disney even come up with the money for it?

Then again the people who own/control the parent companies for both DC, and Disney are probably the same, or at least have known each other for decades. Probably even related or in-laws if you know what I mean.

When you get that high up in the socio-econ ladder, your world becomes very very tiny.

But since this is just intellectual/artistic properties, there is no anti-trust that applies here.

Did all the Fox shareholders, or shareholders of whoever owns Fox make out like bandits from that deal?

Slightly mystified by the whole thing,. If I had a movie studio I'd make up my own fictional super heroes. How hard could it be? Especially for Disney who just plugs it all into a formula with the same computer graphics, the same fake looking fight scenes, and identical evil villains.

You need a runaway train, or a long water slide. Throw in a loyal dog who appears to die at the end and then jumps up alive at the last second after the tears and tragic music and you've got yourself a winner of a film.

No reason to pay millions of dollars for a comic book company.

Why are so many selling out to Disney? I thought the point of being rich and well off is that you are not going to be bought, yet so many rich people are selling out.

The lure of a quick buck, or a few billion.
