Titanic II: the gripping story of Rose on the Carpathia, hiding from Cal Hockley, who thinks she is dead, only she's not. Aaaaaannnnnndddd, that's pretty much the movie right there.

There have already been several Titanic movies.
My personal favorite is the one with Clifton Webb and Barbara Stanwyck.

But here's a full list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ut_the_Titanic

Titanic II - Out of the Water and Into the Courts.

We love movies about litigation. There are tons of them going back to the dawn of the movie industry.

Titanic II can cover the many lawsuits that were filed as a result of the sinking.

Maybe a movie recounting what happened to all the survivors and how they lived after the sinking ? that might be interesting but all of them are gone now , but maybe some of them left behind journals for their families .

I can't believe that people are that desperate for entertainment that anyone would be intersted in Titanic 2..... I saw Titanic way back in the day and it was a good movie, but that's enough. JMO

They could remake the movie Raise the Titanic(1980)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raise_the_Titanic_(film)

This time with the ship broken in half it could make for an interesting movie as to how they would raise it.

My eyes want to glaze over every time I hear this silly assertion. Studios are awash in ideas, more than ever before in the digital age in which anyone can prepare a spec script and shop it.

Hollywood isn't in the 'let's be original!' business. Hollywood is in the 'let's make money!' business. Established brands and proven niches are reliable ways to reliably make money. Of course, there's 700+ films emerging from Hollywood annually, and plenty of them are fresh and original because there's a niche for that, too. But when investors are going to throw quarter billion dollars at a film, they're generally going to want to make sure they're putting all that money in a relatively proven commodity.

And that's fine. Those profits generate the $s that get spread around into more speculative ventures. After all, the less a film's budget the greater then the potential proportional return on the investment.

I still think there's a lot to be explored through the historical fiction genre, especially the 1600-1800's. I was sipping some Captain Morgan just the other day thinking that there really isn't a really great movie regarding any of the pirates during the golden age of piracy.
I've always wondered why there has never been a blockbuster George Washington movie. He was literally a real life action hero. His biography would be an amazing story. But with sensibilities where they are now, we're lucky his name isn't banned.
