I’ve only bought tickets to a few comedians and they were all funny, in that time.
1979, Bill Cosby. Later in Las Vegas, Rita Rudner.

Recently, Ron White, and now I have tickets to Leanne Morgan. One is filthy, and one is clean, but it just depends on what resonates with a person.

None of them. I do find a few of them entertaining though.

Real life is funnier than most people. Real life is pretty absurd from a birds-eye view.

Especially when you scan down all the thread titles here on CD in the Politics or Current Events forums.
Sometimes I just take a glance and feel inspired to write a book about the mess we call humanity.

Bill Murray. Ugh.
Chevy Chase Ugh x2
Kathy Griffin. I don’t even understand how she was ever considered a comedian

Craig Ferguson & Conan O’Brien were the only late night TV talk show hosts that I thought were funny.

TBH, I miss Richard Pryor.

I am pushing 60 but for me its hard to go back before the era of Carlin and Richard Prior and Lenny Bruce. They laid the table for a whole new generation of comedy that still exists today. Comedians before them just did not age well in my opinion. Most of their jokes don't work today. Too tame.

Least funny. Katt Willliams. Way too much profanity, I am not a prude but that is his whole act. Gilbert Godfred. Odd character but not funny. His funniest most original joke got him fired from AFLAC. Chevy Chase. He is someone who has no sense of humor at all in my opinion. I could probably put Sandler on the list. I thought his early movies and SNL career were not funny at all. Too crude. But his later movies that were more mature and some that were dramas I liked him a lot more.

The GOAT: Dave Chappelle. Best by far today and having to navigate the current PC and cancel culture and thrive despite all of that as well as just being funnier than everyone else. 2nd place. George Carlin, he was the godfather of modern comedy. Honorable mention: Artie Lange. He is just naturally very funny. He can come up with stuff on the fly and his stand-up is excellent. His ongoing addictions derailed his career which is disappointing. Hoping he makes a come back. 2nd honorable mention: Ricky Gervais. Just a very funny person.

Carol Burnett was scheduled to do a live performance here but it was cancelled because of low ticket sales. I could never get enthused about Harvey Korman. Tim Conway was another that I really never liked that much. I thought he was the funniest on McHale's Navy many years ago.

The same goes with Lucille Ball. The I Love Lucy Episodes are classic . However, when she and Gale Gordon were doing the later shows, I really felt Lucy "jumped the shark". It wasn't as good.

Kevin Hart,

I can't stand this man and don't think he is funny at all.

Steve Martin. Also Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, and practically all other female "comedians."
