I'm looking for some really fun board games to pick up before Christmas.

Any ideas?

Also have you played Zobmondo...Would you rather? it got pretty good reviews on Amazon but only 7 people wrote reviews.

Thanks!!

I've played Zobmondo but it was years ago at a family reunion and I was drinking so I don't remember exactly how the game is played, but those questions made it very fun.

I like Taboo and Ad Liners.

My family prefers the classic "gotcha" games: Parcheesi, Sorry, Trouble/Headache (although the Pop-O-Matic is kinda noisy if you've got a headache already ... ), and the like.

Any of the Cranium games are awesome.

Battleship, Life, Careers ... I could go on.

we enjoy battleship, but only two can play. Scrabble is always good. we also enjoy trivial pursuit.

Apples to Apples is a surprisingly fun game - even for grown ups.

Cranium is a fun game, but Cranium Turbo is better - it goes much faster. I would also advocate for domino games like Chicken Foot or Mexican Train.

There are a lot of fun, easy, quick (and inexpensive) card game sets at Wal Mart. SWAP! is a fun one, so is Canasta and Hit the Deck.

I totally agree with Full Blooded American and Austinitgirl. Apples to Apples is a great game. We get it out all the time when friends come over (which is frequently). It's a hilarious game and always gives us a night of laughs. You can check it out here APPLES to APPLES and play a few rounds to get a feel for it before braving the holiday crowds at the local big box store.

Cheers!

I am particular to those themed Monopoly games. You know, Worldopoly, Simpsons-opoly. Things like that! Super fun.

Apples to Apples is hilariously fun. ESPECIALLY if you're drinking and playing it. Great game.
