I like the area and read the reviews.
Just curious if anyone from this forum has lived there.
I'm heading back up from the PHX desert (just in time) and need a new place to land for the next year. I've been keeping a place about 20 miles outside of Eugene but the rent has gone up more than I care to pay.
It's time to get into town.
Any other suggestions are welcome.
Thanks.

Somerset Village: When I first moved to Eugene, I considered renting in Somerset while looking to purchase a house. I visited the area and took a look at a couple units with the site manager.

Everything seemed quite nice in general. Clean, well maintained, good parking, quiet, lots of trees, etc. The negatives were the structure of the units; they are typical narrow townhouses with multiple levels, i.e. garage on first floor, stairs up to living room/kitchen, more stairs up to bedrooms. I am not a big fan of this type of layout, but it's not that bad.

The location is great since it is relatively quiet and very green in the southwest hills. The units that back up to Timberline street might be a little noisy though.

Eventually I decided to rent a stand alone house not far away from Somerset, but in general, I can give Somerset Village a "thumbs up" rating based on my somewhat limited experience.
