Moving to Eugene in August or Late July, from Austin, Texas area, and I am wondering how the music scene in Eugene is. I know Portland has a great scene, but what about Eugene.
In typing this I realized Eugene rhymes with almost everything

As far as? There are several local places that have local talent. For the big timers Portland is the closest I believe. I just saw another thread a few down from this that also mentioned McDonald theater. I've never been but this person said they have some bigger name acts.

There are a few...there's the Bach Festival and then Faerieworlds has something in July (I think it's July). The Shedd Institute has some stuff and I think there's still a Reggae festival that takes place during the summer.

The McDonald and WOW Hall have great shows that my hubby and I will drove over from Bend for. We also enjoy going to the Cuthburt in the summer. I have a few friends who live in Eugene and it seems as though there is a local music scene, although smaller than Portland. Check out this independent entertainment publication for the Eugene area. It might help you.
