Hello-
I have a job opportunity in downtown Eugene, but I also have a daughter to raise and I don't want her around the college crowd element until she is in college
I also have a husband who would like to get into small scale farming/home based beer brewing.
Can anyone tell me if there exists an area within 30 minutes of downtown Eugene where there is: 1) a decent amount of acreage to sustain a small farm; 2) safe schools with AP classes; and 3) middle to upper middle class housing (about $400K for a house)?
Also, if you could comment on how liberal vs. conservative these suburbs/small town are, that would be helpful. We hear Eugene is extremely liberal, and we are moderate Republicans, so we wouldn't want to stick out like a sore thumb too much.

Look at the Crow-Lorane-Applegate school district area south of Eugene. Good schools. Sweet farms. Sweet homes on acreage. Less than 30 minutes to downtown Eugene.
